Life @ 90% on the rocks

Famous Line:- 1
Famous Line:-2
Its been long, I personally have been awaiting it, blogging with the latest on campus!!

From the Famous "Knoooooooooooo....."(An Emphatic "No"...) of the director to one of the most important and famous questions of the season:) in a batch meet......to the latest rock band on campus called "90% on the rocks" .....to the Annual Inter-B-School Fest "NEEV-06"( returning back after a hiatus of 5 years.)...a lot has happened. .........also at the same time three most competitive teams are vying for the prestigious Marketing Strategy Competition of IIML. Two competing in the HLL's Fair and Lovely Brand Category while the third in Cavinkare's Chic Shampoo category.

Many Fair and Lovely users on campus are tired of answering questionnaires after questionnaires from these teams answering the how. why, when, if and god knows what more........the interesting thing to note here is ....one is an all girls team and one is an all boys team........

Meanwhile NEEV .....on 24th and 25th November......promises to be the most promising time ever for a blast on campus with participation from all B-Schools across the spectrum also.........Indian Ocean and DJ nights ..set to rock the party scene in the night after the events.....

Amongst all this fourth semester has begun with Classic Classes from Prof G D Apte for Strategic Marketing....and Prof. Banerjee with Marketing Engineering.........

The Admissions season is also at its peak, with batches of students covering 18 cities across the country to answer queries and apprehensions of potential aspirants( in person) in colleges and coaching institutes in these cities.
The one important thing to note here is that they are not promising solution to queries ........over a cup of coffee, unlike other colleges, but are keen to solve queries as buddies.......

Apart from these, Two more food joints have joined the others on campus, both in the vicinity of the girls hostel ...one right below the girls hostel......wonder what more do marketers need to attract crowd to their joints:)

So Six most noticeble scenes on campus in the last two months!!

1. Senior guys trying all tricks under the sun to help the junior girls with their Market Research project.....

2. People flocking the Coffee shop after 11 in the night near the girls hostel..........

3. Every Second person wearing the Six Sigma t-Shirt in the morning during breakfast....after they were distributed free the night before by the organising team of the event.

4. NEEV getting awesome help from both the senior and junior batches with excellent industry support.

5. Great Summer Placements for the Junior batch..,......with the biggies lining up on campus to recruit on Day Zero......and the sleepness nights for the placement team organising the solid event....(all wired up with full tech support like walkie talkie, etc.)

6. The Director's Batch Meet with two famous sentences-" I have no daughters, Sons, uncles and aunties and grandsons in the batch of 220 students" and "On April 20th u(i.e Batch of 2005-07) will be history but, I so far, SCMHRD will remain and we need to maintain relations"........along with lines like "there can be only one dream wife:)"...pics have been provided above, clicked by students after the batch meet.....the sentences were wrote on the display board.

thats it for now....Adios!!

P.S-"90% on the rocks"...the rock band derives its name from the 90% attendance requirement for academics and non-academic courses.:(
